Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi. You will meet our representative at the airport. Transfer
to hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi
Full day city of Delhi visiting The Qutab Minar, Humanyun's Tomb,
Safdarjung & Lodhi Tomb, Birla Temple & Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, See the
colonial architectural grandeur from the exquisitely designed Rastrapati
Bhawan, the lush green gardens of India Gate and the Parliament house.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi - Agra - Gonda
Early morning transfer to Railway station to board Train # 2002 Bhopal
Shatabdi Express dep. 06:00 hrs. Arrive Agra at 07:55 hrs. Later visit
the epitome of love-Taj Mahal,
Later visit Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah. In the evening transfer to
Railway station to board Train, Avadh Express dep. 21:50 hrs. Overnight
on board. (Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays)
Day 04 : Gonda - Sravasti (Saheth-Maheth)
Arrive Gonda at 10:25 hrs. Drive to Sravasti (28 kms). Its modern name
is Saheth-Maheth. In Buddhist times (6th century BC-6th century AD),
Sravasti was the capital of the kingdom of Kosala and was important both
as a prosperous trading centre and for its religious associations.
Buddha is believed to have spent 24 monsoons of his life, in the city.
Bhagwan Mahavir, during his penance and later as Tirthankar, visited
Sravasti many times.
Day 05 : Sravasti - Lumbini
After breakfast drive to Lumbini (150 kms / 4 hrs). Enroute visit
Kapilvastu, the place Lord Buddha entered into Mahaparinirvana (passed
away). On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of Lumbini.
Visit Maya Devi Temple, Ashok Pillar etc.
Day 06 : Lumbini - Kushinagar
After breakfast, drive to Kushinagar (175 kms / 5 hrs). Arrive
Kushinagar and check in at pre-booked hotel. Afternoon, sightseeing of
Kushinagar visiting the Mahaparinirvana Temple, Thai Temple, Ramabhore
etc.
Day 07 : Kushinagar - Vaishalai - Patna

After breakfast, leave for Patna (250 kms / 8 hrs). Enroute visit
Vaishali. Arrive Patna and check in at pre-booked hotel.
Day 08 : Patna - Bodhgaya
After breakfast, leave for Bodhgaya (215 kms / 7 hrs). Enroute visit
Rajgir & Nalanda. Visit Gridhrakula, Sapataparni cave, Ajatsatru fort
and Venuvana. Also visit Nalanda and monasteries and temples with
impressive Buddhist & Hindu images. The Institute for research into
Buddhism and Pali literature which houses rare manuscripts, is also
worth visiting for the enthusiasts. Archaeological musuem is also not to
be missed for the rare collections. Arrive Bodhgaya and check in at
pre-booked hotel.
Day 09 : Bodhgaya
Bodhgaya is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage centres, the "Bodhi"
tree Satabodhi temple, Japanese and Tibetan monasteries alongwith
Magadha university musuem are also to be visited.
Day 10 : Bodhgaya - Varanasi
Morning optional visit to temples. Afternoon transfer to Railway Station
to connect train for Varanasi. Check into hotel for overnight stay.
Day 11 : Varanasi
Early morning boat ride on River Ganges to see the beautiful sunrise at
Ganges. Afternoon, excursion to Sarnath - the place where Lord Buddha
gave his first sermon.
Day 12 : Varanasi - Delhi
Full day city tour visiting Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi
Manas, Banaras Hindu University etc. Evening transfer to Railway Station
to connect Train # 2559 Shiv Ganga Express dep. 18:45 hrs. Overnight on
board.
Day 13: Delhi / Onward destination
Arrive Delhi at 07:45 hrs. Transfer to airport to connect flight for
onward destination.
